Start with the address test
In Stuttgart, the first address needs to be tested before the week becomes a plan. Start with the local Anmeldung guide, confirm whether the address can support the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung and registration route, then sort the documents that affect bank, insurance, work or study, Tax ID expectations, school, childcare, and daily movement.
- Use the Stuttgart Anmeldung guide and current city service page before choosing a Bürgerbüro or online-service route, preparing documents, or relying on a landlord-confirmation assumption.
- Read the first address through Stuttgart geography: slope, transfers, parking or walking tolerance, work location, viewing routes, school or Kita research, and whether the Warmmiete pressure leaves room for the first month.
- Use SSB before relying on a route, ticket, stop, or commute. If the week crosses the valley or depends on a specific transfer, test it at the times you will actually travel.
